The launch of LumaLiving reflects Sanctuary's commitment to helping people live well for longer.

Sanctuary has brought together its technology enabled living offer under a single identity, Sanctuary LumaLiving, championing a more positive vision of technology enabled living that helps people embrace life's possibilities with confidence.

The new brand unites services from Astraline, acquired by Sanctuary in 2024, with Sanctuary’s existing technology enabled living provision. The service aims to present a more coherent, forward-facing offer that reflects people's aspirations to lead active, fulfilling lives and make the most of every opportunity, drawing on more than 60 years of combined experience.

Sanctuary LumaLiving already supports more than 75,000 people and works with over 60 housing associations, local authorities and care providers. Designed to meet growing demand for services that go beyond traditional alarm-based telecare, the new framework focuses on proactive support, early intervention and personalised technology that adapts to individual lifestyles and preferences. It reflects a life-first approach, where reassurance sits in the background and people can focus on the things that matter most to them.

The Sanctuary LumaLiving name has been developed to reflect the everyday impact of these services. It draws on ideas of light, warmth and encouragement, aligned with an approach that helps people get more out of life. The rebrand represents a cultural shift as much as a visual one, introducing a more human and engaging brand identity with a stronger emphasis on people’s real-life moments, rather than systems and devices.

The service will continue to deliver core functions such as emergency response and alarm handling through its in-house teams, based in Chester and Cheadle, while expanding its role in supporting preventative care and engagement. Sanctuary expects this integrated approach to strengthen partnerships with local authorities, housing providers and care organisations looking for scalable solutions that support independence and reduce demand on frontline services.

Telecare Director, Kelly Miller, said: “Sanctuary LumaLiving is about helping people keep saying yes. Yes to spending time with friends and family. Yes to being part of their community. Yes to pursuing passions, trying new things and making the most of every day. The world is waiting, and technology should help people embrace it with confidence.

Sanctuary LumaLiving is about helping people keep saying yes.

Kelly Miller, Telecare Director

Everyone deserves the chance to live life on their own terms, with the freedom to keep doing the things they love and exploring new opportunities along the way. That's why we're evolving our approach, putting people's goals, ambitions and experiences at the heart of everything we do.

By bringing our teams together, we can combine specialist response expertise with Sanctuary's wider housing, care and support insight, creating a more seamless service that focuses not on limitations, but on possibilities and helping people live well.”

For housing providers and commissioners, the relaunch provides a clearer and more joined-up technology enabled living offer, making it easier to access the services, expertise and support they need through a single trusted provider. Sanctuary believes technology enabled living services will continue to play an important role in helping organisations adapt to changing needs and expectations, while delivering better experiences for the people they support.

The transition to Sanctuary LumaLiving will not impact existing services. Customers and partners will continue to receive the same high standard of support from the same experienced teams they always have.
