STAIRs: Your right to information about your home and services

1st October 2026

Sanctuary is making it easier for tenants to access information about their home and the services they receive.

The new Social Tenant Access to Information Requirements (STAIRs) give tenants clearer access to information about how we manage our social housing. It requires us to publish information through a new Publication Scheme and, from April 2027, provide a way for tenants to request information.

Publication Scheme – from 1 October 2026

The first part of STAIRs is now in place. Our publication scheme brings together a range of information about how we manage our social housing, helping tenants understand how decisions are made, how services are delivered and how we're performing.

If you’re looking for specific Sanctuary Supported Living policies, they will be held on SSL’s Publications page. Policies that apply across Sanctuary Supported Living and the wider Sanctuary Group can be found in the ‘Social housing management’ section of our Social Tenant Access to Information Requirements (STAIRs) page.

Information requests – from 1 April 2027

From 1 April 2027, tenants and their representatives will also be able to request information we hold about the management of social housing that is not already available through the Publication Scheme. We’ll share more details about this closer to the date, including how to ask for information and what types of information you can request.

We’re committed to being open and transparent, and to making it easier for tenants to access information about the services we provide.
