Retirement community restaurant keeps top hygiene rating

Staff at a retirement living service in Worcester are thrilled to have maintained the highest hygiene rating of five, following a recent inspection.

Sanctuary Supported Living’s Noble House in Worcester, which has apartments with communal facilities for over 55s and people with long-term care needs, is celebrating a well-deserved achievement - the top score from the Food Standards Agency for their excellent standards, following an inspection of the service’s onsite Taste restaurant.

The inspections are broken down into three categories: hygienic food handling, cleanliness and condition of facilities and building, and management of food safety, which were reported as ‘good’ and ‘very good’ to award Noble House with the highest rating of five overall.

Will Childe, Hospitality Services Manager, said: “We’re over the moon to have held on to our five-star hygiene rating at Noble House. Mealtimes are often the highlight of the day for so many of our residents, and this certificate is testament to the fact that the team go above and beyond to produce high-quality, homecooked food using fresh ingredients."

The retirement community’s popular Taste restaurant not only caters for residents of Noble House 8am-6pm, seven days a week, but for residents of Sanctuary Care’s Juniper House care home as well. Members of the public who are visiting the neighbouring services are welcome to visit for breakfast, a hot meal at lunch time, or just a takeaway tea or coffee.
