Sanctuary Supported Living
Managers from across Sanctuary Supported Living celebrate Investors in People Platinum status.
Sanctuary Supported Living, a national provider of housing, support and care services, has achieved Investors in People (IIP) Platinum accreditation, the highest level awarded by the internationally recognised people management standard.
Achieved by just 7% of accredited organisations worldwide, the Platinum accreditation reflects the progress Sanctuary Supported Living has made in building a high-performing, values-led culture. In a sector facing increasing workforce challenges, the recognition acknowledges an approach that places equal importance on colleague experience, leadership development and service quality, recognising that each plays a vital role in achieving positive outcomes for customers and communities.
The achievement follows an independent assessment involving more than 2,300 colleagues working across Sanctuary Supported Living's geographically dispersed services and offices throughout England. Compared with its previous assessment, the organisation improved across all indicators and moved up a level in seven areas, reflecting continued progress in how it supports, develops and empowers its people.
"Achieving Platinum accreditation is an important milestone, but the real achievement is the culture our colleagues have created."
The assessment found that 95% of colleagues said their role enables them to work well with others, 91% reported having opportunities to learn at work and 84% described Sanctuary Supported Living as a great place to work. In its report, Investors in People said the organisation "truly enables people to perform at their best".
Director for Sanctuary Supported Living, Dave Shaw, said: "One of the strongest messages from the assessment is that high-performing organisations don't stand still.
"The report recognised that we’re an organisation where colleagues feel empowered to contribute, encouraged to continuously improve and supported to reach their potential. In a sector that relies on people making a difference every day, that's something we're incredibly proud of.
“Achieving Platinum accreditation is an important milestone, but the real achievement is the culture our colleagues have created and the lasting impact that has on our customers across the country.”
The accreditation is valid until 2028 and provides independent recognition of Sanctuary Supported Living's ongoing commitment to building a culture where people and services continue to improve together.
