Sanctuary Supported Living colleagues celebrate at the Housing with Care Awards
Sanctuary Supported Living is marking a proud moment for colleagues after achieving one award win and three highly commended recognitions at this year’s Housing with Care Awards.
Taking place on 5 June at the Hilton Bankside in London, the Housing with Care Awards brought together organisations from across the sector to recognise excellence and celebrate the individuals and teams making a real difference.
Hayley Bremner, Project Worker at Sudbury Young People Supported Housing, was named winner of the Care and Support Worker Award in the not-for-profit category. Judges praised Hayley’s outstanding commitment to her role and her focus on building life skills, supporting young people to make independent choices and take control of their futures.
Further recognition was given to colleagues across the organisation, including Local Service Manager, Kate Molope, also at Sudbury Young People Supported Housing, who was highly commended in the Housing Manager Award category. Judges said, “Kate understands that it is often the little things that make the biggest difference, helping families feel safe, valued, and supported during difficult times.”
Recognition is a really important part of how we value our colleagues
Jason Broughton, Deputy Local Service Manager at homelessness service, Merrick House in Eastbourne, was highly commended in the Team Leader Award category, recognising that his leadership style is motivating and empowering, encouraging those around him to strive for excellence while remaining compassionate and person-centred.
The team at Baskeyfield House retirement community in Stoke on Trent received highly commended recognition in the Outreach Community Service Award category, celebrating their commitment to creating a warm and thriving community where residents feel included, valued, and supported to live fulfilling lives.
Director of Sanctuary Supported Living, Dave Shaw, said: “Recognition is a really important part of how we value our colleagues, so seeing them acknowledged in this way is incredibly special. The feedback we received from the judges was thoughtful and genuinely uplifting, and it made the evening feel all the more meaningful. It was a brilliant opportunity to come together and celebrate the individual stories, dedication and impact our teams have every single day.”
