Defoe Court has 21 studio flats. We provide support for young people aged 16 to 25, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, and have low, medium or high support needs. Residents are encouraged to take control of their lives and build on their skills and strengths.

21 fully-furnished studio flats, each with a kitchenette and modern bathroom. There is level access throughout the building and garden.

A lounge, training and activity rooms, a kitchen, a courtyard with communal bicycle storage and an allotment area. WiFi is available throughout.

Staff office on-site, CCTV and a secure door access system all help to ensure residents’ safety and security.

Staff availability

Our highly-trained staff are on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week, giving residents peace of mind that support is always on-hand. There is also a telephone support service, should residents require further assistance.

  • Cooking, cleaning and shopping
  • Building positive relationships
  • Developing hobbies and interests
  • Managing nutrition and hydration needs

  • Signposting and accessing other services
  • Planning a successful move-on

Additional support services

We also provide short-term follow-on support when residents move on to live independently.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a place at Defoe Court, applicants must:

  • Be aged 16 to 25
  • Be homeless, or at risk of homelessness

How to apply

We accept referrals from Surrey County Council’s Children’s Services and Leaving Care teams, as well as Epsom and Ewell Borough Council. All support needs will be assessed before an application is accepted.
