A retirement community housekeeping team based in Stoke have attended a prestigious award ceremony after being nominated for two awards by a leading manufacturer of innovative cleaning solutions.

Sanctuary Supported Living’s Baskeyfield House team, which provides apartments and communal facilities for over 55s, were nominated for the Cleaning Excellence Awards by partner and leading name in commercial cleaning, Rubbermaid Commercial Products.

Organised by Western Business Media and Cleaning Matters Magazine, the Cleaning Excellence Awards shine a spotlight on the most innovative products, services and individuals, and celebrate standards of excellence throughout the professional cleaning and hygiene sector.

The double shortlist for the Baskeyfield House team included the Cleaning and Hygiene Team of the Year award, in recognition of their exceptional commitment, professionalism and quality in delivering a high standard of cleaning services at the Stoke retirement community.

Team Leader, Dawn Moreton, was shortlisted for a separate award - Supervisor of the Year - acknowledging her commitment to motivating and supporting her team while demonstrating leadership, innovation, and excellence. Her nomination from Rubbermaid read: “Dawn has successfully cultivated a positive work environment where individuals are encouraged to excel and develop through skill-building and training.”

Although they missed out on a win, Baskeyfield House were shortlisted among the likes of Cleanology, based at Buckingham Palace and ICE Cleaning at West Ham United. They were thrilled to attend the awards hosted at Coventry Building Society Arena and enjoyed a day of accredited seminars, networking, and an exhibition of the latest products and services in the sector.

"A huge thank you to Rubbermaid for recognising our commitment to supporting older people."
