Set in the residential area of Ormesby, The Shore has 12 one-bedroom flats. We provide care and support for adults aged 18 and over, with a range of learning disabilities, encouraging them to develop their skills and live as independently as possible.

The staff are excellent and have really helped me. When I first moved to my flat I was shy and didn't like to go out much but now have lots of friends and am always out.


The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the national independent regulator of all health and social care services in England.They inspect and monitor care homes, nursing homes and supported housing where personal care is provided and produce reports about them, to help you find a service that suits you.

Care and support planning

Staff draw up a personalised care and support plan with residents using the Life Star model. We can provide 24-hour care and support, including personal care, depending on individual needs.

Staff availability

Our highly-trained staff are on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week, giving residents peace of mind that support is always on-hand.

  • Managing finances (budgeting and benefits)
  • Cooking, cleaning and shopping
  • Socialising and community involvement

Additional support services

We also provide follow-on support when residents move on to live independently, as well as providing floating support to people living in the local area. Residents can purchase telecare technology to reduce their need for support whilst still feeling safe.

  • Be aged 18 or over
  • Have a learning disability

How to apply

We also accept referrals from Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council’s adult social care team. All care and support needs will be assessed before an application is accepted.
