Featuring six rooms in a shared house, plus one self-contained flat, Pembroke Crescent is set in the centre of Hove, near to the seaside. We provide support for adults aged 18 to 65, with a range of learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries and mental health needs, encouraging them to develop their skills and live as independently as possible.

Support planning

Staff draw up a personalised support plan with residents using the Life Star model. Residents are supported to build on their skills and strengths, with a view to living independently within two years.

Staff availability

Our highly-trained staff are on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week, offering a wide range of tailored support, advice and assistance.

  • Daily living skills
  • Maintaining a tenancy
  • Managing finances (budgeting and benefits)
  • Cooking, cleaning and shopping
  • Accessing education, training and employment
  • Dealing with correspondence
  • Building confidence, resilience and self-esteem
  • Positive behaviour management
  • Managing anti-social behaviour
  • Planning a successful move-on

Additional support services

We also run an outreach service for residents who have moved on to living more independently within other local Sanctuary Supported Living services.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a place at Pembroke Crescent, applicants must:

  • Be aged 18 to 65
  • Have a learning disability, mental health need or acquired brain injury
  • Be able to prove a connection to Brighton and Hove

How to apply

We accept direct applications if fully-funded. To apply, please complete the enquiry form below and ask for an application form. 

We also accept referrals from Brighton and Hove Council’s adult social care services and the community learning disability team. All support needs will be assessed before an application is accepted.
